چکیده
A healthy 32-year-old female presented with NSTEMI 2 weeks following an uneventful pregnancy and caesarian section. Emergent cardiac catheterization demonstrated a non-stentable coronary artery dissection (Figs. 1 and 2, and Videos 1 and 2). She was treated with CABG (LIMA to LAD) and made an uneventful post-operative recovery. Fig. 1. RAO angiographic view showing the dissected LAD with diluted dye in the false lumen (arrows) and decreased caliber of the coronary true lumen (arrowheads). Fig. 2. RAO angiographic view showing the dissected LAD with residual dye in the false lumen (arrows).

Recurrent post-partum coronary artery dissection
Coronary artery dissection is a rare but well-described cause for myocardial infarction during the post-partum period. Dissection of multiple coronary arteries is even less frequent. Here we present a case of recurrent post-partum coronary artery dissections. This unusual presentation poses unique problems for management. A 35 year-old female, gravida 3 para 2, presented with myocardial infarct...
متن کاملOff-pump coronary artery bypass grafting for spontaneous coronary dissection in a 26-year-old patient two weeks post-partum: a case report and review.
Spontaneous coronary artery dissections are an infrequent cause of myocardial infarction and have been reported in late stages of pregnancy and in the puerperium phase. We report a case of a 26-year-old post-partum woman who was diagnosed with a spiral coronary dissection of the left anterior descending artery, with a compromised diagonal branch. She underwent an emergent surgical revasculariza...

CASE PRESENTATION This report describes a 35-year-old female who presented with an acute inferior ST elevation myocardial infarction 7 months post-partum secondary to spontaneous dissection of the left obtuse marginal c...
متن کاملSpontaneous coronary artery dissection: value of beating heart myocardial revascularization.
Spontaneous coronary artery dissection is a rare and generally fatal disease. It usually occurs in women during the post-partum period or women taking oral contraceptives. Treatment depends on the clinical presentation and the results of coronary angiography. Beating heart myocardial revascularization is particularly useful in this case, as it allows coronary artery bypass graft to be performed...

Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection (SCAD) is a rare life-threatening cause of acute coronary syndrome. It can affect young patients without atherosclerotic risk factors, particularly women in the antepartum or early post-partum period, as well as geriatric patients at high risk for atherosclerotic disease. The pathogenesis linking SCAD with pregnancy has not been fully elucidated. The few r...
متن کاملPostpartum spontaneous dissection of the first obtuse marginal branch of the left circumflex coronary artery causing acute coronary syndrome: a case report and literature review
INTRODUCTION Spontaneous coronary artery dissection is a rare but important cause of acute coronary syndrome. It can cause unstable angina, acute myocardial infarction, and sudden death. The condition commonly affects young females with about one-third of the cases occurring during pregnancy and the peripartum period. The diagnosis may occasionally be overlooked as the patients are often young ...
